The Russell Ranch Access & Community Support Initiative
A community-centered ranch setting where organizations, donors, and local partners can help create restorative outdoor experiences built around animals, responsibility, mentorship, and meaningful time on the land.

A practical outdoor setting for healing, service, and connection
Through the leadership of Shannon Russell and collaboration with Miranda’s expanding community support initiative, The Russell Ranch is growing into a place where local organizations, support programs, and community leaders can connect people with animals, land, mentorship, and meaningful responsibility.
Purpose through participation
The ranch gives participants a place to take part in meaningful tasks, experience animal connection, and feel the value of being included in something constructive.
A setting beyond four walls
The land offers a different kind of environment: open air, steady routines, hands-on activity, and natural moments that can support confidence outside a traditional office setting.
Constructive service opportunities
For eligible participants, the ranch may provide a respectful place to complete service hours through practical tasks that benefit the property, animals, and community mission.
Where donor support goes
Contributions help strengthen the ranch’s ability to host supervised visits, care for animals, maintain the property, support outreach, and create accessible programming for the people and organizations it serves.
Support supervised ranch days for mental health providers, reentry programs, transitional offices, youth groups, senior groups, and other mission-aligned organizations.
Help provide practical ranch tasks for eligible people who need to complete community service in a constructive and respectful setting.
Reduce barriers for participants who may need help reaching the ranch, attending scheduled visits, or taking part in planned outdoor experiences.
Support feed, basic care, and veterinary needs for the animals that help make the ranch experience meaningful and memorable.
Strengthen relationships with agencies, offices, churches, civic leaders, volunteers, donors, and organizations that want to serve the community.
Help maintain open, supervised, and welcoming areas where people can build responsibility, confidence, and connection through land-based activity.
Ranch-Based Support
Real people, real land, real responsibility.
The ranch offers more than scenery. It gives people a place to move, help, listen, care for animals, complete meaningful tasks, and experience the steady rhythm of land-based responsibility.
Help build something people can return to.
Shannon’s vision is to grow The Russell Ranch into a trusted community resource where donors, organizations, volunteers, and local leaders help create practical outdoor opportunities for people who need encouragement, responsibility, and a constructive place to reset.
