The complete process

Four steps. One clear request.

Confirm eligibility before asking the Ranch to schedule or verify hours.

  1. 01

    Confirm the Ranch may qualify

Ask your court, program, school, agency, probation office, attorney, or supervising authority whether Ranch-based service can satisfy your requirement.

  2. 02

    Email the required details

Include your contact information, required hours, deadline, county or referring organization, and any paperwork or signature rules.

  3. 03

    Wait for the Ranch review

A request is not an appointment. The Ranch must review fit, work, documentation, staffing, and available dates before confirming anything.

  4. 04

    Serve responsibly

If approved, arrive prepared, follow staff direction, complete assigned work honestly, and request documentation before it is due.

Include this in your email

Give the team enough information to review the request.

  • Your full name, reliable phone number, and email address
  • Required number of hours and completion deadline
  • County, court, school, program, agency, or supervising contact
  • Paperwork, signatures, restrictions, or verification requirements
  • Any scheduling or physical limitations relevant to safe participation

If the request is approved

Come ready for useful outdoor work.

  • Arrive on time in weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes.
  • Expect outdoor work, uneven ground, practical tasks, and changing conditions.
  • Use tools, gates, equipment, and animal areas only when directed.
  • Respect the property, animals, staff, neighbors, and other participants.
  • No drugs, alcohol, threats, violence, harassment, or unsafe conduct.
  • Bring required paperwork and communicate cancellations before the appointment.
Important

Do not come to the Ranch until the team has confirmed an appointment. The participant is responsible for confirming that the Ranch and its documentation meet the referring authority’s requirements. Hours are verified only for work actually completed with acceptable attendance, conduct, and follow-through.
