Meet the animals

Respect first

Connection may growwhen the animal sets the pace.

Their comfort, boundaries, health, and daily care come first. Any interaction depends on the animal, the day, and team guidance.

The animal story

Shannon shares how the Ranch’s animal story began.

Many animals came through rescue or retirement paths, while others arrived differently. Not every animal at the Ranch is a rescue.

This recorded message shares Shannon’s vision. The Ranch team confirms current details and next steps.

My story

Doc Holiday came to the Ranch from a loving family who wanted companionship for him. After rehoming their other animals, they felt he was lonely and hoped he could find friends and belonging here. Doc’s story began with people who cared deeply about him. He was not brought to us because of abuse; his family’s thoughtful decision helped him begin a new chapter among the Ranch animals.

Personality and favorite things

A true gentleman and a charming ladies’ man, Doc brings his own personality to the pasture. Small in stature and full of character, he has become a special companion to Luna-Bell. Their friendship is one of the everyday connections we love seeing at the Ranch.

Life at the Ranch

Doc’s place here is about companionship and belonging. We love seeing the friendships that make the Ranch feel like home and celebrating each animal for who they are. His story is a lovely reminder that animals arrive here through different paths, including thoughtful decisions made by loving families.
